Anniversary Week...

We actually had anniversary week.  The weekend before our actual anniversary we went to Seattle.  Nathan got off work early Friday because of a CPR class, so we went to Seattle.  We went shopping at University Village and got a new battery for the computer and I got a new Jacket.  We also got a new diaper bad fro Pottery Barn Kids for $100 off.  It was a sweet deal.  Then we ate dinner at Dicks and went to Simply Desserts for cake.  That's where our wedding cakes were from, and it was delicious!  Saturday we took Austin with us to look at trucks and to Pike Place Market.  He saw his friends the oysters and we ate the most delicious crepes at the little crepe place in Pike Place.  They are my FAVORITE!  We also drove around the marinas and found Nathan's favorite boat from Deadliest Catch. We took the ferry home and had a blast all day.

Anniversary Trip!

For our Anniversary Nathan planned a trip to San Juan Island as a surprise.  He accidentally blew the surprise on Thursday night telling me a story from work, but it was still fun.  He planned out everything.  We stopped at the Seattle outlets on the way there, which was awesome.  Nathan got some new sunglasses, of course, and a new pair of pants, I got a cute red wallet, since I've had the same one since I was about 14, and Ty got some cute summer overalls.  We thought we were ahead of schedule getting to the ferry, but we forgot Nathan's watch was still an hour behind from the time change.  We had to wait a couple hrs for the next one, but it worked out just fine.
We stayed in Roche Harbor at Quarryman's Hall, part of the Hotel de Haro, which is SUPER nice.  And pretty cheap until April 1st, when one night goes up to at least $4oo a night.  We had a big flat screen tv, a fireplace, and a monster bathroom in our room.
We enjoyed looking at all the gorgeous homes on the island, the light houses, the beaches and the adorable town of Friday Harbor.  We ate like kings, the food was so good everywhere we went.
My husband is the best!  He can be so romantic and Mr. Perfect.  I just love him!  We have had an awesome year and can't wait for the future!

Put that boy to work...

The other day Ty and I went to visit Daddy at work and Ty got his first ride on Daddy's machine!  Ty was not affected in any way, but Nathan sure was excited.  He even had his little excavator shirt on that says "Grandpa Digs Me."  Nathan is the hardest worker I know and I can't wait for him to teach his boy to work hard also.  He's a fantastic father.   I couldn't ask for any better!

Valentine's Day in Oregon

For Valentine's Day we decided to go visit Kelley and Lindsay and their family in Bend, OR.  On the way home we stopped at the Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood so Nathan could look at the snow cats.  The trip to Bend is always fun and a nice little break from the everyday routine.  Thanks Kelley and Lindsay.

2nd Attempt at Blogging

I couldn't remember how I did this last time, which was about a year ago, so I decided to try to start over.  Don't expect much though!  And don't expect anything cute and creative because I have no idea how to do any of that.  Anyway, here's a few funny pics of the baby.  He is super cute these days talking to himself.  He's also starting to figure out how to reach for his toys.  He also makes the most adorable noises when he's really tired.  And he's becoming more and more of a Mama's boy these days, which I know will get old real fast, but right now it's nice to know he already loves me!  Nathan does make him smile and laugh better than anybody else though.  Our whole lives now revolve around this little guy, and we just can't get enough of it!
